Help Out While You Rock Out!

If there’s one thing Austinites know how to do well it’s having a good time for a good cause. This Friday come on by Stubbs starting at 4 pm for some great live music hosted by our friends at Rock Raizer.  Rock Raizer is a nonprofit organization that provides music scholarships for underprivileged kids in the Austin area and they’ve recently partner up with the American Red Cross of Central Texas to create a fund to replace instruments for children who have lost theirs in a disaster. Tickets are by donation—so you choose the price!

This Friday’s lineup includes:

Prodroma

Gorehound

A city for the taking

Fresh Nectar

Distant lights

I Can Has Preparednez!

While we want you to take preparedness seriously, sometimes we all need a good laugh. Here are some joyful reminders about playing it safe from around the interwebs:

Is your CPR Training up to date? If not, you can register for a class at www.redcross.org/takeaclass.

Or...

Maybe the big question is when was the last time you looked at your First Aid Kit?

Of course I'm sure I don't need to remind you,

Disaster Prepaedness is everyone's responsibility!
